Four months...

Tomorrow (Feb. 25) it will be four months since Bette died. I'm still feeling under the weather and everything I see in the house reminds me of Bette. The weather has been bad and I am feeling sorry for myself. An all around crappy day.

  1. Hi Jaime,

Just wanted to let you know that I still think of Bette so often, how you are doing, how her family is doing and the wonderful spirit of positivity she has left us with in this world...til we meet her again.

While I know I've posted here before a few times and I know we don't know each other since I knew Bette through work, I really want to thank you for sharing all that you do on the blog about Bette and your life together as well as how you are doing. Slowly, it is helping me to wrap my mind around Bette's passing and it also helps me to keep the memory close to me of what a fantastic person she was. So much fun and laughter to be around. I just wanted to let you know that and say "thank you."

The photos you have posted over the past few months are lovely tributes that capture some of the fun times you two have had. I absolutely LOVE the new car and its license plate. It certainly made me think of Bette, so it is definitely working.

I think, in time, you will figure out what you need to do for yourself regarding the yard, the house, and all that other "stuff" that goes with life. Whatever you decide, Bette will be supporting you from the heavens and understanding why you're doing what you decide to do.

And, remember, when you're sick, there are plenty of friends and family that will help you through it all from shared words on this blog, to phone calls, emails, visits, etc. I suspect, due in part to the relationship you and Bette shared and the life you nurtured together, that even if you feel alone at times in sadness, you are never alone - too many people loved Bette to let that happen and she'd be pissed if we didn't reach out to support you...LOL...

Sending wonderful thoughts your way and reminiscing about Bette's fun nature at work - how I MISS that! Check back soon...
